As we have approached 2024 with new beginnings and wrapping up another amazing year 2023. A year full of memories, moments, laughter, experiences, ups & down, etc. This blog is my yearly ritual for retrospecting how the year went. People who follow me would know that I have started journaling two years back. So, I go through the whole year once again (read the journal) and share that how the year passed.

Every year is different. We had different experiences. Every individual has a series of monotonous tasks (doing dishes, household chores, laundry, food, and so on) in his day to day life. As I am a working professional, there is work pressure in every job but slowly it becomes one’s part of life. I got appreciations and escalations this year at my work. At many times, I compare myself with others on some unnecessary things which are useless, I have had regrets about certain things, I feel FOMO (fear of missing out) every now and then. Especially, when people live away from their family, there is always a room for homesickness after a point of time like on festivals, when we are sick and cravings of home-cooked food is never ending. It is a fast-paced world and these things are quite normal. So, don’t worry I fall in the same category.

Sharing some of my highlights or milestones of the year 2023:

  • I think I have seen profoundly beautiful views this year be it Lavasa near Pune, Splendour country Resort (beautiful place & day). I think I have come to know I’m a nature’s baby. I am the happiest when I am around nature. Also, I have been to Rihe Dam in Pune which is a beautiful sunset point. We went on office trips to Osari near Pune (a serene place), Sterling Nature Trails Durshet Resort, Khopoli (beautiful place had an amazing time and lots of dancing).
  • I am happy that I am able to visit two beautiful cities (Mumbai & Goa) this year. Marine drive (known as Queen’s necklace) in Mumbai has the best view of the waves of water and standalone buildings. And of course, who does not want to experience Goa life, I did experience it this year which was absolutely incredible by seeing beautiful places, colourful houses, roads, markets, beaches, nightlife, and so on. I must say that one should experience Goa life once in their lifetime.
  • As I love to explore different things, I have been to some amazing exhibitions, fleas, carnivals, palace, gardens, etc.
  • I was very overwhelmed when I met two of the youtubers Rishi Athawani (lifestyle vlogger) at the Airport. I was very ecstatic after meeting him. Drishti Sharma (lifestyle content creator) at her meetup. I was elated and proud of myself that I came out of my comfort zone and met new people at her meetup. It was a great experience.
  • I have had many new experiences life like hosting at my cousin’s wedding, trampoline park, went to watch a movie alone, did online shopping at its peak, partying, boating, nigh outs, talking your heart out with your loved ones, got post graduated, bought silver earrings on my own. These are very small things but what I feel is when you do something which is out of your reach that is something very special, memorable and ineffable.
  • It’s a good year for India in terms of the landing of Chandrayaan 3 to the moon. On the contrary, we did not win the Cricket World Cup 2023. But Indians are unstoppable when it comes to dedication and perseverance.

That is all for this year. I tried to cover up everything I have experienced this year in few words. Please share your experiences, regrets, decisions, or anything you would like to share. Feel free to write it to me on comment or on Instagram. I would be more than happy to read it. I feel so good when I write my heart out in the blogs. It’s my space where I can express my thoughts freely without any boundaries. I will be back with a blog next month. Stay connected!

Thank you.
