“Life is a series of wins & loses, even for the most successful”.

The above statement is absolutely true. We often see successful people and assume they achieved success overnight, but that’s far from reality—the struggle behind it is real and often unseen. From my perspective, many who follow me now know that my core life principle is believing in yourself, which comes with a positive attitude toward people, situations, and perspectives.

Today, I’m sharing some information from my favorite book, Attitude is Everything by Jeff Keller. Let’s begin!

  1. The person with positive attitude thinks – I CAN, can concentrates on solutions, looks for the good in others, counts his or her blessings, sees possibilities. The person with negative attitude thinks – I CAN’T, dwells on problems, finds faults with others, focuses on what’s missing, sees limitations. Which category do you fall into?
  2. Take responsibility for your own movies – Let’s try a short experiment. Think about an elephant. Can you see it? Change the color of the elephant to pink. In a fraction of a second, you formed an image of the pink elephant. Can you see what I mean? You have control over the pictures that occupy your mind. However, when you don’t consciously decide which pictures to play, your mind will look into the “archives” and keep re-playing old movies on file in your mental library. This is absolutely mind-blowing, right? We can definitely visualize what we want to achieve.

Thoughts – Words – Beliefs – Actions – Results

  • Good friends are good for your health. It is very hard to get good friends. Having good friends around brings a sense of security, peace, and happiness. Cherish your friendships and be grateful for them.
  • He who loses wealth loses much; he who loses a friend loses more; but he who loses courage loses all. By Miguel de Cervantes
  • When you are in your comfort zone, you feel comfortable, safe, non-threatening and familiar. Example: speaking to your co-workers or filling out the daily paperwork at your job. When you faced with something outside your comfort zone, you suddenly feel nervous. Your palms become sweaty and your heart pounds. Stepping out of your comfort zone is extremely difficult and requires a lot of courage. However, we can at least take small steps, so we don’t regret not even trying.
  • Stretch yourself. Confront your fears and be willing to expand your comfort zone. The courage muscle can be developed just like any other muscle – with exercise. And when you do an activity outside your comfort zone a few times, you know what happens? That same activity becomes part of your comfort zone! When I read this, I thought, ‘Wow, that is so true!’ We can train our minds that way.

That’s it for this blog! These points are simple and basic, but if you incorporate them into your life, you can lead a smoother and more meaningful journey.

Thank you.
